Abstract:

Background Endometrial receptivity is one of parameters which determine the reproductive outcome in in vitro fertilization programs. A good blood supply towards the endometrium is usually considered to be an essential requirement for implantation. Blood vessels of the endometrium can be detected by transvaginal color and pulse Doppler sonography. Color Doppler assessment permits better visualization of endometrial vessels in infertility treatment. Absence of subendometrial blood flow seems to be more significant negative predictor than morphological assessment of endometrium. Color mapping of endometrial vascularity were classified in various types according to the degree of penetration into the endometrial thickness. In this way we can differentiate four Zones: Zone 0 (absent), Zone1 (sub-endometrial), Zone2 (outer hyperechogenic Zone), Zone 3(inner hypoechogenic Zone). We aimed to evaluate the role of endometrial and subendometrial blood flows; detected by Color Dopplers Sonography in the prediction of pregnancy rate during IVF treatment.
